Laithe Carson used to be the most sought-after Acquisition and Recovery Agent on the market until he gave that life away to protect his family. Now he's the only Wizard Inspector in London, something he sure as hell never signed up for..
As the only member of The Met with the abilities needed to investigate both supernatural and mundane crime, Laithe's only chance at having a future is to stand apart from the ancient and powerful Wizard State, something that could cost him far more than his life.Joining the magical community was never going to be easy, joining it as the only Wizard who isn't hellbent on killing or enslaving every other supernatural resident in England doesn't help.
Finding out you're on the losing side of a supernatural war being waged in the shadows of London just makes everything harder.
Fans of Ben Aaronovitch and Jim Butcher, meet London's only Magic Inspector Laithe Carson, the protagonist of Wizard State.
