Crack up laughing when you read this hilarious coming-of-age story that teens, young adults, and readers of all ages will enjoy. Robbie wasted two years after graduating from high school, then decided to attend college. Working part-time as a security guard to pay his tuition fees, he learns unbelievable things about the real world, encounters a bizarre cast of characters who appear and disappear like extraterrestrials, and learns about their ingenious methods of shoplifting in supermarkets. Interwoven within the story is the relationship between a mother and son.
Some of the characters converging on the supermarkets:
- Wilbert Wiley-guard, modern-day Don Juan gawks after all hot chicks
- The Three Amigos, steals Listerine to get their fix
- Angel, little old lady steals body cream to be soft and smooth
- One-leg Carlos, camouflages missing leg for carrying basket
- Pierre Tremblay, thief from Montreal, seafood lover
