Before the System came to Earth, supposedly to save it from destruction, Lyra Dawn was an out-of-shape, middle-aged office worker like any other, spending her free time reading, cuddling her cats, and taking her soul sister to an unending string of doctor appointments.
With the arrival of the System, she's till middle-aged--at least according to the calendar--but she's fit and full of magic and song. Her sister is healthy and full of terrifying alchemical creations. Her niece regularly tries to blow up her Mad Science lab and they both bring in far too many strays to join their ever-expanding household of pets and familiars. They're financially stable and loving all the changes the new world is bringing, even as they work hard to be strong enough to survive the Reduction that's comin in just a few month.
However, their neighbors and government are less thrilled with the changes to the world. Monsters are coming and Lyra's chosen family is already among the strongest in the world, but will they be strong enough--not just to face the monsters in the dungeons or the ones that will come with Reduction, but the human ones all around them?
Whisper the Stars is a LitRPG/progression series filled with humor, cats, aliens, crafting, dungeons and more centered around mature adults, the teen they're doing their best to raise to only be a menace toward monsters, their ever-expanding menagerie of pets, familiars, and the new friends they make along the way.
