Desperate times call for desperate measures, and ending a perpetual, deadly mage war between good and evil is certainly no exception.

Five years after the Betrayal, a ruinous war still rages between the Lambent Praetors and the Children of Chaos, and there's no end in sight. Despondent, standing on the verge of hopelessness, and tired of sending his Battlemages to their inevitable deaths, Conall will try almost anything to end the war. He's run out of ideas and seeks the wisdom of his war council, resolved to find a solution. Seldanna has an idea so crazy it just might work, but timing is everything.

Three decades later, Seldanna struggles with anxiety and PTSD, worsened when her repressed memories flood her mind. Ghosts from her past haunt her, forgotten traumas plague her, and buried emotions emerge from their crypts to torment her, but she must persist through the storm or be swallowed by it. Life relents for no one.

Fans of strong female main characters, high-stakes action, and elemental magic with fantastical races will love this enthralling tale.

War of Mages serves as a prequel to The Drendil Saga and takes place before Land of Madness. This story has two timelines, and the past is told using flashbacks.
