The Lord took pity on her and invited her into his home. As she completed chores, she watched Myron. Listened as he ruled his fortress, led his men, commanded his people. She spied on his army. Watched them train. She'd spent years in her father's shadow, wishing she could pick up a sword and join in. But she was a woman. It was unthinkable.
Over time, Myron noticed her interest. Recognised the longing, the hunger in her eyes. Out of the blue, he asked her to join him on the field. Asked her to voice her opinions. Her desires. Using her years of experience in watching her father and then Myron, she offered him advice. Suggested new formations. New training techniques. Tried and tested, Myron was impressed. Eventually, he offered her a place in his army. To become a cadet in the strongest army in Theia.
As the only woman, she was tormented by her male peers. But it only made her stronger. Myron knew she belonged in a leadership position. But it was inconceivable for a woman to be in an army, let alone lead one. So, he made her work for it. He had to prove to his men, to himself, and to Violet that she deserved it.
