The Unboring Story
Close your eyes and imagine you're on a misty battlefield as kings fought from castle walls for Scotland's freedom. Thousands of Scots stand in kilts and chainmail, gripping long spears. Across the field, a massive English army charges forward. The Scots yell a battle cry so fierce it rattles your bones. Leading them? A tall, wild-haired warrior named William Wallace.
Wallace became Scotland's ultimate rebel hero in the late 1200s, during the Wars of Scottish Independence. He wasn't a king or noble, just a regular guy who refused to bow to England's rule. With fiery speeches and fearless battles, he inspired ordinary Scots to rise up. His greatest victory came at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297, where his smaller army defeated the English by using clever tactics and the narrow bridge to their advantage.
