Drawing from Scripture, personal experience, marriage, parenting, grief, and years of pastoral ministry, Wittenborn challenges many of today's common assumptions: Is love the same as liking? Must love always approve or agree? Why does God correct those He loves? Can truth still be loving when it confronts? What makes covenant stronger than emotion? How can love endure suffering, disappointment, and loss? What does the cross reveal about the true nature of love? This book invites readers to move beyond a culture shaped by feelings and rediscover a love that remains faithful when emotions change. Love may include affection, warmth, and joy, but it cannot be sustained by feelings alone. True love must be formed by something stronger. Ultimately, every chapter points to the One who loved first-Jesus Christ. His love is not merely an example for us to admire, but the source from which all genuine love flows. True love tells the truth.
True love remains faithful.
