Saffi the fennec has the biggest ears in the whole desert. She notices everything.
Tonight is her very first sleep-out, high on the star-camp dune, far from the warm lamp of the burrow. It is wonderful, fire-warm blankets and a whole sky of stars, until the fire burns down and the dark comes all the way in.
For a little fox who notices everything, the dark is not nothing. It is everything at once, and none of it will hold still. But high over the dune, one small star does not blink. It just stays.
A tender, beautifully illustrated bedtime story for every child who has ever found the dark too dark, and found their own quiet way through it. Perfect for bedtime, first sleep-outs, and gently facing the dark.
