Being named Lead Partner for an area of general practice is easy. Knowing what effective oversight actually looks like can be much harder.

- working effectively with the Practice Manager;
- Partner behaviour, accountability and organisational culture; and
- conducting a practical annual Lead Partner assurance review.
It also includes the TIPS Assurance Cycle, Ten Principles of Effective Partner Oversight, a One-Page Lead Partner Review and the TIPS Lead Partner Test - practical tools designed to turn the principles of good governance into everyday Partner behaviour.
This is not a book about asking GP Partners to do more operational work.
It is about helping Partners see more clearly: understanding what matters, knowing what good assurance looks like and recognising when something requires their attention.
