Inside, they meet Zephyrus, a brilliant but scattered temporal mage who reveals a shocking truth: their friends' disappearance is linked to a temporal anomaly in Chronomire. With newfound knowledge and another companion in tow, they venture into a landscape where time flows like water-sometimes forward, sometimes backward, and occasionally in circles.
In Chronomire's Time-Warp Tavern, Groggletooth faces his greatest challenge yet: his perfectly-timed jokes fall flat when delivered to an audience experiencing multiple timelines simultaneously. Joined by Prudence Scrollworth, a regulation-obsessed bureaucrat with a hidden adventurous streak, the expanded group must navigate Chronomire's mind-bending districts-from the backwards-flowing Pendulum District to the probability-defying Quantum Quarter.
When Groggletooth accidentally triggers a temporal shutdown, the group finds themselves pursued by the zealous Temporal Inquisition. Their only hope lies in finding Chronox, the mercurial Living Paradox who guards the Caverns of Time, where the secret to perfect comedic timing-and their friends' rescue-awaits.
