A Steampunk Fantasy Novel--Four frightened, steam-driven, robotic dolls-a dancer, a clown, a Spartan warrior, and a Tibetan monk-go on a quest to rescue their creator, genius inventor, Thaddeus Pennybrook, who's being held hostage by criminals. Traveling through a strange and threatening world, the dolls' hardships teach them not only how to survive, but what it means to be a humanoid. By fulfilling their impossible mission, they inadvertently renew their creator's lease on life. For you film buffs, this is BLADE RUNNER meets PINNOCHIO!

Steampunk for the Peculiarly Intelligent Reader--Readers looking for the best Young Adult Fantasy and particularly Steampunk fiction books will want to take note: D. A. Metrov not only writes with passion and sensual detail, but with a wink to current day issues. His heroic characters are defenders of Mother Nature.
