This is the final story in the series that follows the life and times of super sleuth Jeffrey Teninson.
The first book followed Jeffrey through two marriages, during which he fathered three children: Andrew with his first wife, Lynn Parton; and Rylan and Ayla from his second wife, the former Luna Tibs. Each child has a unique set of skills inherited from the complex DNA they received from their father. Jeffrey also has a daughter, Julie, adopted from his first wife's affair with another man. Julie is older than the other children and is working on establishing law offices in Woodward and Oklahoma City. Four children and the two wives are still actively involved in the Teninson home life, creating a complex environment.

The second book in the series, The Family, continues the saga with a missing persons case that becomes increasingly bizarre as it uncovers an incredible collection of hidden secrets. Jeffrey Teninson meets three half-brothers and finally understands what the FBI has been doing to him his entire life. Additionally, he is forced to confront his mother, a witch who has survived for hundreds of years by taking over the bodies of her female children as she ages. Amid all the chaos, Jeffrey discovers he has another half-brother who had evaded capture in a case Jeffrey solved years earlier.
The third book in the series, The Fifth Brother, follows Jeffrey Teninson as he searches for his older brother. When he finally meets his fifth brother, he discovers that the FBI had been hiding him for years while using his abilities to serve their interests. When the FBI releases the fifth brother and sends him to Jeffrey Teninson, Jeffrey realizes that they let him go because their upper management is being wiped out by the two sisters of his mother, Magdalena Phips.
The fourth and final book in the series starts where the third left off. Jeffrey is waiting for his two aunts to arrive, as they were aware of his involvement in their sister's demise
