A childhood accident gave Faer a near-perfect memory-and memories of a world no one else seems to remember. Now stranded in the 1960s with a ghost at his side and a shape-shifting alien hunting him, Faer must unravel what happened to the past before the future disappears with him.

An alien signal, a rift in time, and a memory that could save the world-or destroy it.

Faer Michelson died when he was nine years old.

When he came back, he could remember everything. Every minute of every hour of his life, preserved with impossible clarity. For more than twenty years, his memory has been absolute.

Then, in 1999, the world starts disagreeing with him.

Faer remembers Bobby Kennedy becoming president. Everyone else knows he was assassinated. He remembers an alien interrupting television broadcasts to declare war. No one else seems to know it ever happened. Suddenly, Faer is surrounded by a history different from the one he remembers living through.

He has a loving wife, a good life, and only mild concerns about the approaching Y2K panic. Alternate histories are considerably harder to explain.

Then Faer remembers something impossible. His own death in 1968.

Suddenly stranded in the 1960s, Faer finds himself moving through a past that is both familiar and dangerously wrong. From California to the neon-lit casinos and showrooms of Las Vegas, where Tom Jones and Elvis can perform on the same night, Faer searches for answers alongside the apparition of his best friend while a shape-shifting alien seems determined to make sure he never gets home.

The deeper Faer travels into the past, the more his memories begin to matter. Ghosts appear. Timelines fracture. An interdimensional conflict edges closer. And somewhere inside the history only Faer remembers may be the reason time has been unraveling around him all along.

Before he can save the future, Faer has been given one impossible command:

Save yourself. Then save the world.

A Tear in Time blends time travel, alien conspiracy, supernatural suspense, and meticulously researched 1960s history into a strange journey through memory, identity, and the possibility that reality isn't nearly as fixed as we think.

Inspired by a real family story, an alleged alien television broadcast, and the author's years-long search for a mysteriously missing issue of the Weekly Reader, the places Faer encounters throughout the novel were drawn from real locations that existed during the era.

Perfect for readers who love The X-Files, Doctor Who, and historical mysteries with a speculative twist.
