But here in the story the male protagonist makes passionate love with a very close and a well known female friend from last twelve years.'Some 14 Odd Years' is all about developing the conviction in girls and discarding the things that hold them back from keeping contact with married male friends. Those days are gone when a girl had to cut off all ties with a male friend due to his marital status. It is also not the girl's prime duty to look after the conjugal happiness of the legal wife due to her weaker gender. The discontentment in any wife's life is due to her husband who has no control on his sexual feelings and not due to the husband's female friend.
