My name is Eamonn. I am a traveler, a wanderer. In some places I have been known as The Seeker. I have crossed two seas, and as many continents. My homeland is so far away, that I doubt I could live long enough to return, even if I could find it again. The officer grunted. What is it you seek? Eamonn chuckled. I have no idea. Something calls me ever onward. I cannot resist that call, and I am unable to not follow it over the horizon. I can only hope that I will know what it is when I find it. Together with Robert, an officer of the garrison thrust into a position of leadership in an impossible situation, and Raine, the beautiful Countess trapped in an unhappy marriage, Eamonn finds himself facing a ruthless siege by a savage enemy. The fate of a kingdom is in their hands, and they must hold, or die trying. But amidst all the horror and death, Eamonn finds friendship, love, and perhaps the very thing that he seeks.
