It also examines the church's outward calling: evangelism, making disciples, church planting, supporting missions, helping churches in need, caring for the poor, living honorably before civil authorities, and bearing faithful witness when obedience to Christ becomes costly.
The final section turns toward the church's endurance in the present age. Christians are called to live as pilgrims, remain watchful, pursue holiness, stand firm under pressure, and keep their hope fixed on the return of Jesus Christ.
Written from the conviction that Scripture must define Scripture, this book does not treat church life as a collection of modern preferences, programs, or traditions. It returns repeatedly to the biblical pattern, allowing the Word of God to establish what the church is, how it should live, and what it must remain faithful to until Christ comes.
