La Belleza como Principio de Poder no es un libro sobre arte, ni una historia convencional del Renacimiento. Es una obra de interpretación estructural que demuestra que la belleza ha operado, a lo largo de la historia europea, como un principio ontológico de poder, capaz de organizar civilizaciones, legitimar órdenes políticos y articular sistemas de sentido.
Desde Plotino hasta Florencia, desde Al-Ándalus hasta la modernidad, este libro sostiene una tesis central: la belleza no es un ornamento cultural, sino el lenguaje visible de la unidad. Allí donde una civilización logra integrar conocimiento, política, espiritualidad y forma, la belleza aparece como signo de coherencia profunda. Cuando esa unidad se fractura, la belleza se vacía, se instrumentaliza o se separa de la verdad.
La obra sitúa a Plotino como el arquitecto invisible del Renacimiento europeo. No como una figura académica marginal, sino como el núcleo metafísico de una tradición subterránea que atravesó el mundo islámico, Sicilia y el Mediterráneo antes de cristalizar en Florencia bajo el patrocinio consciente de la familia Médici. La Escuela Neoplatónica Florentina no es presentada aquí como un fenómeno espontáneo, sino como una operación político-cultural deliberada, donde la belleza fue utilizada como principio de legitimación del poder.
El libro reconstruye el rol decisivo de Al-Ándalus y del Islam medieval como sistema civilizatorio del saber que preservó, desarrolló y transformó el legado neoplatónico. Sicilia aparece como bisagra estratégica de transmisión, y 1492 como umbral civilizatorio que clausura violentamente un mundo integrado, dando origen a una Europa moderna que conserva las formas, pero pierde la memoria del origen.
En su tramo final, la obra extiende el análisis hasta la modernidad filosófica y científica. Leibniz, Humberto Maturana y Francisco Varela son leídos como herederos implícitos del neoplatonismo, articulando nociones de unidad, coherencia sistémica, autopoiesis y ontología del amor. En diálogo directo con Línea de la Verdad, el libro propone una concepción de la verdad no como representación, sino como coherencia viva.
Este no es un libro de divulgación, ni una historia estética. Es una cartografía del poder invisible que ha modelado Europa: la belleza como principio de orden, como memoria de la unidad y como pregunta abierta para el siglo XXI.
