Southern Fried Felonies IV: Jericho's Wall is author Clay Mercer's third book in the Southern Fried Felonies series. Jericho's Wall tells the story of Taylor Holland and Jacob Marlowe. Taylor is a police officer, with the rank of Detective, working for the Macon-Bibb County Police Department in Macon, Georgia. Jacob, a former special agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, is now a recovering alcoholic and private investigator. They have known each other since Taylor's rookie years with the police department when she was working undercover with the department's narcotics unit. Now, because of a recent missing person's case they investigated as a team, Taylor and Jacob have begun seeing each other socially. The future of their relationship is forced to a head when Taylor is assigned a case involving a possible crime victim who, as a result of a traumatic brain injury, has suffered complete dissociative amnesia.
Says Mercer, The concept of doing a series of crime stories set in the South took root several years ago as I was brainstorming with a friend about a title for a work in progress. That story, a tale of a ne'er do well con man, was eventually published under the title Natural Born Crazy. However, among the titles suggested by my friend Jason Echols was Southern Fried Felonies, which seemed a natural title for a collection of short stories. When my next project, A Barn Without Cattle, began to take shape, I decided to attach it to the Felonies concept and have a shot at a series of books. The third book in the series, Where's Sally, introduces my readers to Taylor Holland and Jacob Marlowe.
Southern Friend Felonies IV: Jericho's Wall continues Mercer's custom of including characters from throughout his literary domain, notably Traveler James and Buffalo Hunter. This book is definitely a don't miss for Mercer's expanding fan base.
