Grandfather is stuck amidst a hostile immigrant crackdown in a confusing, contemporary dystopia, while grandson fights off hunger in the Maoist reeducation camp devoid of modern Wi-Fi and other addictions. As their consciousnesses bleed together across the decades, they struggle to navigate their inverted exiles. To survive, they must learn to decipher their mirrored lives, embarking on an odyssey of complete identity confusion to reconcile a fragmented family line.
