It bridges a previous Aiden James series, Clash of Covens, and the new Gabriel Files series. The story is still based in Denmark, Tennessee, so it was easy to go from past to present without too many pauses. I like the mix of supernatural and 'mundane' in the story and how Mr. James and Mr. Rain can make the story move and keep my attention (I have a very short attention span when it comes to reading). I like the way they build the tension, excitement, and guessing until the final few chapters. They then allow the story to settle and make its final moments happy, sad, and ready for the next book in this new series. Thank you Mr. James and Mr. Rain for your great storytelling. -Amazon review
