A well-paced, much-needed escape! I read the first book in this series, A Sheriff in Nevada, so when the second, Downfall, came out, I was eager to read it. It's another easy yet entertaining read. I really like the characters, flawed as they are, and as a native Nevadan, it's a treat to read about a book in my beloved state. Thanks for a weekend read and recharge!
After reading the first book, this book is like visiting family. Read both of them your only disappointment will be when you run out of book...
I was hooked on the first of this series, now, I have been reeled in ! So many unexpected twists, but so much action. Left me breathless at times, and then sometimes sad. Just can't predict anything with this book. I just love it, and highly recommend it.
If you enjoy mysteries with grit, strong female leads, authentic Western settings with real small-town flavor, JT Hume's Sheriff in Nevada series is a solid pick. You get action, personality, and a slice of Nevada life-all wrapped in well-paced storytelling.
