I must say I'm not usually a fan of romance books but I enjoyed every page of this one! I loved the part about Alaska as a setting. I felt like I was really there and experienced how harsh and cold it is. I enjoyed the twists and turns of the plot and the female and male perspectives. It was a fun read. A great palate cleanser after the difficult book I just finished. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to enjoy a feel good story. It's a sweet, non-spicy romance.
This book is engaging and light, pleasantly un-putdownable with likeable characters you can get behind. With roughneck Travis nicknaming uptight Lexi 'Princess', there's a fun parallel to Han Solo and Princess Leia. The story opens in Alaska, laced through with dogsledding, backpacking and camping lore without it being dryly presented. Rustic living in Alaska is seamlessly presented opposite an elegant European lifestyle, and a big plot twist mid-book takes the story in an unexpected direction that opens a whole new can of worms for Travis and Lexi! The character of Lavinia as a Disneyesque villainess--right down to the black dress--makes you long for her comeuppance. All in all a great read with humorous personality clashes full of pride and prejudice, family entanglements, and iron-clad ancient traditions creating impossible-to-escape situations. Or are they...?
From Tundra to Tiara is a wonderfully cozy way to spend a lazy afternoon. The characters are relatable and the settings let you drift away to more interesting places. I would recommend this for anyone looking to relax and enjoy a good read.

Though Californian by birth, Cassidy Carson is Battle Born by choice and now resides in northern Nevada with her husband, and love of her life, JT Hume. Cassidy enjoys many creative pursuits besides writing: sewing, painting, acting, dancing, and playing the violin. She's also fond of the great outdoors and can often be found hiking the hills near her home with JT.
JT Hume started life as a rambling man. He was born in El Paso because his Army parents were stationed in Texas, and he's lived in various states and three different countries over the years. Along the way, he became a proud Nevadan and product of the Silver State's K12 and higher education system. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, something he reminds people of every day (like most veterans). The best decision he ever made was over forty years ago when he asked Cassidy Carson to marry him. The jury is still out on whether accepting said proposal was Cassidy's best decision.
