Words were spoken that could not be taken back. And like so many families, we pressed forward, doing our best, while our children quietly absorbed everything around them.
Children soak in the environment of a home like a sponge, whether it is filled with peace or with chaos.
I share this not to dwell on regret, but to offer you something I did not always have in those moments, awareness.
Because what you build in your home today will echo into your children's adult lives.
And the beautiful truth is this, it is never too late to adjust, to soften, to bring peace, and to begin again.
