Cannibalistic foes encountered early in the series kidnap the couple's young charge, Imari, intent upon doing the girl horrible wrong. The Gypsy Queen Wyrha is desperately attempting to grow her own drug-addicted family of Krokodil users through the use of music and free product. However, the Artificial Intelligence known only as Q has expanded its own devious efforts, now lording over Revelation Flock where food is free to those showing zealous loyalty to the malevolent metal madman first seen in book one. The seven-foot-tall entity has encased itself in latex in hopes of presenting a more acceptable face to starving humankind around the globe, now offering cloned versions of super-science evolved Gorro, (the twenty-five foot iguana) as protein source to a dying planet. Created by the genius, Hershal Krick Kirschenbaum the creatures thrive with little water and care but will only taste like chicken if you can eat them first! Aided by self-serving General Cularache, this able scientist Krick is now based at The Devils Throat in Brazil, intent upon distributing the giant reptiles throughout the most densely populated cities remaining on Earth. As Wyrha battles for control of the dark forces surrounding her own gang of Kroks, she must rely upon supernatural assistance from her Gammy and dearly departed Demon Boy Donnie to guide her own ruthless efforts. Q has not forgotten Salvo and his allies, launching a coordinated attack against The Alliant just as they are finding success in re-establishing a civilized society. From its lair within the top-secret former NSA worldwide data collection site in Bluffdale, Utah the devotees of Q use both fire and lead to mount devastating attacks on the metallic demigod's assumed enemies.
