High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Sacred Heart High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Yonkers, New York. It is located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York. Sacred Heart was established in 1923. It has undergone many renovations to become the school it is today. It is the only Catholic high school in Yonkers. Sacred Heart High School opened in 1923-24. In 1925 The Rev. Cyprian Abler, O.F.M. Cap, completed the high school by adding four rooms to the building which then served as a preparatory Capuchin Seminary. He and the Sisters of St. Agnes received full State accreditation in 1926. Affiliation with the University of New York, and accreditation by the Board of Regents were achieved on April 30, 1930.
