Was 2017 a year to remember for you? Many of us have set out a resolution, and we were determined to see it through. For many of us too, 2016 was a difficult year, and we looked forward to a less obstacle-riddled year.
But where the entire world was concerned, 2017 certainly witnessed plenty of milestones globally. There were also plenty of weird and wonderful things that happened in 2017, many trends have started, and yes, the Kardashians continue to dominate reality TV.
In many aspects, 2017 was definitely a difficult year, especially with natural disasters like Hurricane Harvey and the Mexican earthquake happening and violence occurring at almost every corner of the world, what more with the threat of a possible World War 4 looming close by.
There were celebrity deaths, most notable of that of Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, David Cassidy as well as Hugh Hefner who made headlines all around the world.
Among the other natural occurrences that brought people together was the total solar eclipse that saw many people coming together to witness this one in a lifetime natural occurrence.
Of course, there's also the engagement of the year, courtesy of Prince Harry and Megan Markle.
The buzzword towards the end of 2017 was 'sexual misconduct.' Some of the biggest issues to plague the entertainment industry were the growing list of sexual misconduct as more and more women became empowered to reveal their side of the story. It all began with the Harvey Weinstein takedown, followed by many high profile men from politicians, network and studio moguls, and many other people in positions of power.
Apart from the globally recognized events and issues, here's a look back on all the other random milestones, success stories, and prominent events that took place in 2017.
