From the clubs of Glasgow and the west of Scotland to arenas worldwide, this is the candid autobiography of Davey Pattison, one of rock's most powerful yet underrated voices.
Best known as front man of Gamma and collaborator with guitar legend Ronnie Montrose, Pattison chronicles hard rock's late '70s and '80s heyday--when bands lived on the road and credibility was earned.
He revisits Gamma's defining albums, the band's creative tensions, and Montrose's exacting studio standards. Pattison also shares firsthand stories of working with iconic guitarists Robin Trower and Michael Schenker, offering vivid insight into recording, touring, and survival in a shifting industry.
Beyond the music, he reflects on leaving Scotland, career setbacks, fractured friendships, and the true cost of longevity in rock.
Honest and reflective, this book celebrates resilience, craftsmanship, and an unwavering devotion to classic rock.
