The theme of the right to education: analysis and critique of the implementation of free basic education in the DRC has not been a simple subject, but rather a theme that has been updated and constitutionalized in article 43 paragraph 1, as revised in 2011, enshrining the right to school education, as well as article 45, which states that Everyone has access to national educational establishments, without discrimination as to place of origin, race, religion, sex or political opinion. To comply with this mother principle, President Antoine Félix Tshilombo, at the time of his investiture, decided to declare basic education free of charge in the DRC. This was not an individual act, but rather a constitutional one. Despite the announcement, we have noted that there are several challenges to its effective implementation and the adverse consequences that could compromise the quality of education, until we work on these, it would seem with mordicus that the competent bodies have acted in haste or with absent-mindedness.
