Much of this book results from my past [possibly continuing] series of inquiries - the Poll of the Week - in which I directed a variety of questions to my female network, whilst allowing my male cohorts the freedom to participate if they so desired. Most of the inquiries were related to relationships involving the two sexes, though to keep things interesting I would ask anything from their individual reasoning behind their fashion choices, to their thoughts regarding what's socially acceptable versus what's acceptable to them, and even their take on toilet seat responsibility. It was, and will continue to be, the feedback that I receive from my Poll of the Week inquiries, in addition to my personal chats with several of those participants, friends, and other acquaintances that will continue to fuel my drive to help steer relationships in a positive direction and stay progressive.
Before getting into the thick of things, let me say now, and later reiterate, that this is my personal theory that I've developed through, and practice within, my interactions with others. The views expressed hereon are of my opinion, one that has been shaped not only by my own experiences, but by the experiences of others as well. The title is a bit misleading as this book is in no way, shape, or form a How-To guide for relationships, dating, or what have you though it may just aid you in that arena. What you're about to read is my thoughts, my breakdown, my take on what I like to call REALationships and how it corresponds to relationships. Remember, just my opinion and, because this journey which we will embark on momentarily encircles such a commonly discussed topic, understand that I'm speaking [in general terms] about what I see as truths, or REAL, in relationships. I now invite you to share my telescope and microscope as we gaze upon and dissect my world of REALationships.
