High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Rio Chipillico Frog, Rana bwana, is a species of frog in the Ranidae family. It is found in Ecuador and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marches, rural gardens, and heavily degraded former forest. It is threatened by habitat loss. The true frogs, family Ranidae, have the widest distribution of any frog family. They are abundant throughout most of the world, occurring on all continents except Antarctica. The true frogs are present in North America, northern South America, Europe, Asia, Madagascar, Africa and from the East Indies to New Guinea; the species native to Australia - the Australian Wood Frog (Hylarana daemelii) - is restricted to the far north.
