There is a death right from the start, in the first pages, with no apparent reason. The protagonist, a homeless man living on the streets, finds himself entangled in this situation, as if he didn't already have enough problems in his current life as a social outcast.
In the background of the story, his memories of the years of lead and his now-extinguished youthful ideals intertwine, along with the serious mistakes from his more recent past, the consequences of which are still present. The situation becomes increasingly difficult and even dangerous, but it is precisely because of this danger that he manages to rekindle the inner energies he thought were long extinguished.
Part mystery, part thriller, and part detective story, the novel is actually more than that. The time for existential reckoning has arrived for the protagonist. Like perhaps all of us, he has skeletons in his closet and would like to go back, if possible, to rewrite part of his life story.
But you can only move forward...
