The book reveals the mechanisms of people with narcissistic personality traits-those who do not use physical force but control through words, gestures, withdrawal, and silence. It shows what such relationships look like from the inside and why they are so difficult to recognize and end.
Although the author directs her words primarily to women, this book has no gender. Toxic relationships affect anyone who gradually loses themselves while trying to adapt to someone else's sensitivity and shifting boundaries.
