In this changing time of globalization, attention should be driven to pronunciation training and practice as a general goal for teaching. However, amongst the obstacles EFL students may face is the sound system of English; which may hurdle effective use of the spoken language to establish successful communication. Fortunately, this has problematised and paved the way for an intensive change in the area of English pronunciation teaching. Hence, the present study strives to resolve some aspects of the current pronunciation debates for a valuable contribution to the English language teaching profession.
