Have you ever struggled to talk your children into dressing appropriately? Which parent hasn't? Ozzy Ox Stands Against Socks is a funny kids book about dressing appropriately for weather. While this Ozzy Ox book is a children's book about winter, the dilemma faced by Ozzy and his MomOx is one that parents in all types of climates experience.
In Ozzy Ox Stands Against Socks, Ozzy is preparing to go outside to play when MomOx reminds him to dress warmly for the winter cold. He stubbornly resists MomOx's pleas to put on his socks, even as she provides many colorful scenarios in which socks are essential in the bitter cold of the Land of Ox. As MomOx struggles with her son as he gets dressed, Ozzy finally offers to wear socks, but only as a test. He'll stay outside all day in the bitter cold just to prove her wrong. Who will win this battle of wills?
Among children's winter books, this installation in the Ozzy Ox series is a standout. Its illustrations are colorful and vivid; they reach out to those who long for the stillness and beauty of winter while providing great storytelling about a everyday life dilemma. Fourth in the Ozzy Ox series of kids' new story books, Ozzy Ox Stands Against Socks is not only a great kids book about dressing, but it packs a powerful that children can change their minds and believe in other opinions-and it doesn't have to mean their own thoughts aren't worthy.
Ozzy Ox Stands Against Socks would make a wonderful addition to a winter books for kids set. It is a 34-page rhyming book for little kids ages 2-8 that is sure to become a treasured book in any family library.
