Early one Saturday morning Jome decided to make pancakes. He made pancakes because he hated cold cereal. Back in the day, he used to eat cold cereal with milk on it every morning without fail.
That was before Ralf played a trick on him.
Ralf had thought it would be funny to put white glue in Jome's milk bottle. He knew that Jome used it for his cereal every morning without fail and figured that Jome would notice that the milk seemed a little thick and figure it out from the start. Unfortunately, Jome didn't figure it out.
He ate three bowls.
Two weeks later, Jome was getting ready to be released out of the Intensive Care Unit at the city hospital. He didn't have the right kind of insurance so the hospital staff were kind of mean to him. Toward the end of his recovery the nurses decided to play a trick on Jome. On the day he was going to be released to go home, they told him he was finally allowed to eat solid food again and that he could have pretty much anything he wanted. Jome requested cold cereal. The nurses thought it would be funny to replace his milk with white glue, figuring he'd notice right away and get angry. Unfortunately, Jome didn't notice.
He ate three bowls.
Seven weeks later, Jome got out of the hospital, but with a severely and permanently damaged digestive tract. For whatever reason, the whole ordeal had left him lactose intolerant, which made little sense because it was the very absence of milk that had been the problem to begin with.
So now Jome usually cooks breakfast on the stove and avoids white liquids if he can help it...
