Several years after the victory over Narcos, the Spectres are mostly occupied on their home worlds. However, the effects of the fight against the red energy have brought a force of nature to the scene that wants to restore the balance of power in the universe through destruction: the Riders of the Apocalypse.
When the Riders appear on Haysu and begin bringing death and destruction to Balduria and Scaya, the Spectres must split up to confront the threat and find out how to stand against these superior beings.
While one half of the team fights in Balduria, the Commander, Grayhawk, the Shadow Guard, and Razor travel to Scaya - a realm gripped by the Riders of Chaos: Hunger, Decay, and War. Disease, internal conflict, and fanatical violence plunge the land into a spiral of suffering and madness.
To stop the Riders, the Spectres must act alongside the Shadow Guards and the Kigan - a final attempt to push back the complete collapse. As devastation spreads, they coordinate with the team in Balduria and the researchers of the Ghost Unit to find a solution ... before Haysu falls for good.
