This is a book of poems that can be appreciated by those who see logic in the illogical, and sense in senseless words. This Art, known as Nonsensical Verse, is difficult, but can be cultivated, just like a taste for coffee or cheese, where these are not part of common cuisine or food. Sagar has written humorous poems before: in particular, 'Sunny Rain: Poems and Cartoons', but there is recurrence of humor in many of his previous 38 books of poems. This is a new direction, and although the Art is not new, yet it is quite rare. A well-known example, of course, is Lewis Caroll and the books subsumed by the title Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, which may be genuinely appreciated by children, but also adults. Here is a collection of fresh poems, different from other humorous poems of the sort written by Ogden Nash, whose style, though not copied, echoes in this author's previous works. This is a new, harder effort. And, it is hoped, bears fruit.
