A New Theory of the Earth: From Its Original, to the Consummation of All Things is a book written by William Whiston in 1737. The book presents Whiston's theory on the origins of the Earth and its eventual destruction. Whiston was a prominent theologian and mathematician who believed in the literal interpretation of the Bible. In the book, he argues that the Earth was originally created as a perfect and harmonious world, but was later destroyed by a catastrophic flood. He also discusses his belief in the existence of a future apocalypse, where the Earth will be destroyed again, and the righteous will be saved. Whiston's theory was controversial at the time, as it challenged the prevailing scientific and theological beliefs of the day. However, the book was widely read and discussed, and had a significant impact on the development of geological and cosmological theories in the years that followed. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
