A New Theory of the Earth: From Its Original, to the Consummation of All Things is a book written by William Whiston in 1737. The book presents a comprehensive theory of the creation and end of the Earth, based on Whiston's interpretation of the Bible and his scientific observations. Whiston argues that the Earth was originally a water-covered planet, but was later transformed by a series of catastrophic events, including the Great Flood and the fall of Lucifer. He also discusses the end of the Earth, which he believes will be brought about by a final conflagration or burning of the planet. The book is notable for its combination of religious and scientific ideas, and its influence on the development of geology and cosmology in the 18th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
