On the day of his retirement, Magistrate Prakash Chandra Roy returns to a home filled with celebratory warmth. Surrounding him are his loving family: his young, affectionate second wife Priya, his devoted secretary Aloke, his three adult children who traveled far to see him, and his loyal housekeeper Mokhoda. To Prakash, his home is a sanctuary of love and respect.
However, after a mystical encounter with the Goddess Kali on the eve of his birthday, Prakash's spirit is granted the power to roam invisible for a few hours. In the dark corridors of his mansion, the horrifying truth is unmasked:
His children care nothing for him and are plotting strictly to secure his 100-crore rupee fortune.
His young wife Priya is having a secret affair with his secretary Aloke, waiting for Prakash to die so they can claim his riches.
Deeply heartbroken but liberated from mortal illusions, Prakash requests twelve final hours of life to deliver his ultimate verdict. The next morning, he summons his eccentric advocate, Botokrishna Botobyal, and assembles the greedy family under the guise of signing his final Will.
In a shocking climax, the Will reveals that except for small educational trusts for his grandchildren, 20 lakhs for his loyal housekeeper Mokhoda, and a token 1 lakh each for his family, Prakash donates the entirety of his 100-crore estate to charity. As his enraged family turns violent, the lawyer pulls off a frantic escape with the signed document.
With his final legal judgment served and the masks shattered forever, Prakash peacefully yields his mortal life, passing into the eternal embrace of the Mother Goddess.
