When newlyweds Maisie and Fraser honeymoon in Paris, it's for business as well as pleasure. However, their hotel is full of elderly British expats, including a Foreign Office contact who is worse than useless. Moreover, getting a meeting at the company they need to investigate is proving impossible.
When one of the expat circle dies unexpectedly, the Hamiltons are caught between their mission and investigating a possible murder. This is made all the more difficult because they are operating incognito, and must return home in a few days.

The discovery of an assassin on the train makes their target prepared to cooperate - but how far can they be trusted?
When Fraser leaves the train on vital business, Maisie must go undercover to maintain her connection with the suspect and obtain what they need to close the case. She finds an unexpected ally - but is that enough to ensure her safety and the mission's success? Or will the hunter become the hunted?
