She enlists Jonathan van Dijk's help and he discovers his worst fears are about to be realized; his vengeful sire has returned to Savannah. An old friend comes back into his life as well as an old enemy and the situation reaches its climax as the murders continue. Their story continues in the next full novel, House of Lilith, where the characters and the actors playing them find that the real world can mirror the fiction to an uncanny degree.
