A high fantasy novel, with a touch of romance, and an explosion of magickal feminine empowerment. In a land of mystical power, Queen Leluna mourns the death of her husband. She fights the urge to kill the men pounding on her door as they scream for her to crown the next King. Though she is a powerful, magical woman, she must follow the laws of the land. Leluna is forced to hold the Royal Games, where her suitors are thrown into a competition of strength, warrior skills, intelligence, and ability. The small group of men who make it through the trials must then prove to Leluna they are the right King to be at her side. Through her struggles to find love, Leluna is also battling her inner darkness. She is cursed with pain she must heal through her spirituality and connection to her inner Goddess. While each man gets his chance to show the Queen what life would offer if he were to be crowned, Leluna works with her guides, intense magical spells, and her ancestral powers to see what they would truly offer her. The magic of her ancestors is strong within her blood, but will it be enough to help her make the right choice? Will she choose a man who is perfectly fit for King, or a man who makes her heart explode with desire?Book Two- Lost Love The creatures that she describes and the place where the story is set is beautiful and captivating. This book had one twist after another which kept me on my toes. It was totally engaging. I can't wait for book 2! Anonymous review
