Veer Barbarik, grandson of Bhima, came to Kurukshetra carrying three arrows that could not miss and one promise made to his mother: always fight for the side that is losing. It was a promise that could have made the greatest war in our tradition unwinnable - so Lord Krishna, disguised as a poor Brahmin, came down the road and asked him for his head.He gave it.
