Jesus Made Me Shine - Book Description
A joyful, faith-filled picture book that helps kids see themselves as God's bright, shining lights.
Every day is full of simple moments to shine for Jesus.
From waking up with the sun, to brushing teeth, to playing with friends and praying before bed, Jesus Made Me Shine follows a cheerful little boy and girl through a day filled with God's love. With warm, inclusive illustrations and simple, kid-friendly lines, this book shows children that Jesus' light lives in their hearts-wherever they go.
Written by faith-based children's author and mental health and wellness advocate Thelma Colter, this story gently reminds kids that they are seen, loved, and created on purpose by God.
Kids will discover:
- That God made them special and full of light
- How everyday choices-kindness, sharing, helping-help them shine for Jesus
- That Jesus is with them from morning to night, in big moments and little ones
- That their feelings matter, and God's love is steady through them all
What's inside:
- A cozy, read-aloud story told in simple, rhythmic lines
- Beautiful, full-color illustrations on every page featuring joyful, diverse characters
- Scripture-based encouragement woven in kid-friendly language
- Bonus shine activities: reflection prompts, kindness challenges, and fun pages that help kids live out what they learned
Perfect for:
- Bedtime and morning devotions
- Children's church, Sunday school, and Christian schools
- Parents, grandparents, and caregivers who want a gentle way to talk about Jesus' love
- Gifts for birthdays, Easter baskets, Christmas, and baby showers

Whether a child is feeling brave, shy, happy, or unsure, Jesus Made Me Shine reminds them of this simple truth:
Jesus' love lives in you,
and that love makes you shine. ✨
