Raffaele Acunzo è nato a Napoli nel 1953. Medico, ora in pensione, è sposato e ha due figlie e un nipote.
Ritiene la lettura e la scrittura forme di terapia medica preventiva.
Ama la Musica Classica e il Cinema, ha partecipato in veste di attore a due film diretti da Demetrio Salvi. Collabora con la rivista letteraria Malpelo.
