Haleena is twenty years old and searching for a job because she refuses to work with her mother's pimp, Teddy. Determined to find a job, Haleena goes to the only casino in Crestview to find a job. At the casino, she meets Ambrose.
Ambrose, the co-owner of the casino, finds her attractive before he learns how old she is. He can't hire her to work in the casino because she is too young, but he hires her to work in the hotel next door. Ambrose doesn't waste any time pursuing Haleena. She believes he is trying to take advantage of her because he is 40 years old. Through his persistence, Haleena learns Ambrose was a man who had all the wrong women. It takes Ambrose 5 years to make Haleena his. Within those 5 years, she grew to love and trust Ambrose. The truth about Ambrose, revealed by another woman, jeopardizes her love and trust. When Haleena gives Ambrose another chance, they move forward with their relationship, and she gives him the one thing he couldn't get from another woman: a child. Ambrose and Haleena are happy, but the woman isn't. She comes after them both. Her anger causes the anger in Ambrose and Haleena to resurface from their childhood. Not only does her anger trigger them, but her anger causes her to kidnap their child. Someone will risk their life for the baby. Is it Ambrose, Haleena, or both of them? Will their baby come home? Will the baby come home to both parents?
