The HMS Friday, a new brig in His Majesty's Navy, was launched on Friday the 13th, 1642, commanded by the aptly named Captain James Friday. They sailed out of the Bristol harbor to much fanfare and ballyhoo, and once the tops of the masts dipped under the horizon, they were never seen again for over fifty years. Skip ahead to 1693, and we pick up where book 2 left off with Captain Daniel Rogers, who begins a relaxing sea journey to the sunny clime of St Domingue. But this trip turns out anything but relaxing as Rogers once again finds himself in the middle of the brewing war between the spirits and humans in this third installment of the Gargoyle Journals series. Here you will find the usual cast of characters with witches, pirates, spirits, and horrific beasts, all at odds with one another until some unlikely saviors come to the rescue.
