THEY WENT LOOKING FOR THE FUTURE. THEY FOUND OUT THEY MISSED THE PAST.
It's 1987, and the President of Monty has a problem: he's not sure the future is actually worth the wait.
So he sends a highly specialized team forty years forward to 2026 to find out whether humanity has built a better world-or simply a more complicated one.
The team is hardly what you'd call specialized.
Daphne Mutton is a hard-hitting reporter who would sell her editor's soul for a headline.
Jeremy Reed is a cynical eleventh-grader who is already over school, life and pretty much everything else.
And Dwayne Phillips is a drifter who accidentally joins a top-secret time-travelling mission because he follows the smell of free food.
Then everything goes spectacularly wrong.
Dropped into 2026, the three find themselves in a world of smartphones, social media, smart everything, disappearing payphones and people who seem to be permanently connected-yet somehow more disconnected than ever.
They have four weeks to explore the future, gather their evidence and report back.
What they discover is stranger than anything they could have imagined.
Because the future isn't simply faster, smarter or more technologically advanced.
It is lonelier.
And somewhere along the way, three unlikely companions begin to wonder whether the supposedly boring world they left behind wasn't quite as backward as they thought.
Hey Zombies! Thanks for Nothing is a funny, irreverent time-travel adventure about technology, friendship, loneliness, generational change-and the uncomfortable possibility that progress isn't always the same thing as moving forward.
For anyone who remembers when people actually answered the phone, when friendships happened face-to-face, and when the future was supposed to be better than this...
Welcome to the future
