The fate of worlds hangs in the balance. Toby and Ashley seem to be normal young adults but are soon thrust by forces from beyond into a realm of sword, sorcery and magical creatures, where they learn an astounding secret involving them through the aid of Tintallea the fairy. With Tint's help, they begin their journey to find their way home, but discover something priceless along the way. Sadissa is a powerful and seductive dark elwin cleric and sorceress of the world they enter, ruling her lands from her fortress. Her family being banished to the surface centuries ago by a rival family, scorned by both the light and dark elwin, she is the only survivor of her clan, bent on a course of revenge to make them pay. Sadissa's son Turanbarth is a unique and mighty warrior, the only one of his kind, of both his mother's dark subterranean lineage and a noble surface elwin. Never knowing his father - Turanbarth has a special connection with his mother in more ways than one. With the help of another, they search in disguise for the key to the power they need, to get the revenge they seek. Their key to power is the same key of knowledge that would enable Toby and Ashley to return home. Who will find it first? Or could fate and their common destination somehow bring them together? If so, what happens when they find it? Adding to this challenge by a twist of fate, is a curse of the gods on a once noble knight of the realms, now turned into a powerful and evil Doom Knight - hell bent on turning all living beings into undead nightmares and ruling them all. Meanwhile, Shilequan - a powerful yet aging human monk-priest and his young acolyte Caroon, have their own battles of faith to fight that may result in a shocking destiny involving a wizard of once great power - long thought dead who once challenged the very gods themselves, and now intends to challenge them again with his new avatar. Toby and Ashley must make a difficult decision along the way; to take the safest path to find their way home, or the more difficult one to help and save others - that may imperil their chances of ever returning. Which would you choose if you were in their shoes?
